You will be working with clearly defined technical specifications and Interface Control Documents.
You will be actively involved in the configuration of hardware and software so that it functions optimally
with the DBMS, including software installation.
You will frequently be called on to analyze the data stored in the database and to make recommendations
relating to performance and efficiency of that data storage.
You will establish standards and best practices for SQL and interact with and coach developers in SQL
scripting.

You must have a Computer Science diploma (or proven experience) and have 5 years of experience as an
Oracle DBA.
You have a technical background in Oracle 10g (all related technologies), Oracle Text and have global
knowledge of other leading database platforms (SQL Server, DB2).
You will be highly experienced in proactively monitoring systems for optimum performance and capacity
constraints and responsible for security administration in all development and test environments.
You will be responsible for database optimization and you will help the development team with special
performance considerations.
You will be expert in database-design, data modelling, understanding and implementation of schemas, and
have the ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries. You have a good understanding of UML
analysis and design.
You are open-minded; problem solving oriented and have good communication skills.
You are fluent in spoken and written English.
